Ashok Das is a media person with more than 40 years of experience in the field of both print and electronic media. He started his journalistic career with Samaj, the premier Odia daily and was associated for more than two decades after which he started his own media venture ‘Sankalp’ to produce audio visual programmes and documentaries of different genre.
Widely known as a popular anchor Ashok had the privilege to be the 1st anchor for Election Analysis, Budget Analysis, News & Current Affairs Programmes on Odia small screen in the 80s & 90s. Programmes like Odisha Diary, Bhinna Manisha, Spandan, Aashara Aaloka, Sunara Odisha, Aama School Dot Com, Target, etc produced by him were immensely popular.
Ashok is now focussed on development journalism and positive news to impact the lives & livelihood of rural people. He also produces programmes for the digital media for the benefit of students, farmers, women & youth for their Education, Information & Empowerment.
